This coming Saturday sees two of our Junior teams representing Siddal in the Yorkshire Junior League Challenge Cup Final at Batley Bulldogs.
The Under13’s play East Leeds at 10.30 am. East Leeds have been tough opponents in the past couple of seasons and have assembled a strong squad of players. However, the 13's, coached by Craig Turner, Daz Phillips and Jamie Walker, have been steadily improving. Their recent run of form has included an impressive win away to a previously unbeaten Guiseley team and they will take great confidence from that performance into the final.
The Under 18's will also play Leeds opponents, Oulton Raiders, in a game that is due to get underway at 3.00pm. Martin Scrimshaw and Jason Greenwood-MacDonald have worked hard to put a squad together for the first time in a number of years in this age group and have been rewarded with a cup final appearance.
The address for any supporters who are driving to the game is WF7 7NZ. Admission is £3 adults, £1 OAP's and children 6-17 and children 5 and under can enter free.
Good luck to both teams on behalf of everyone at the club.
