Games and training suspended until 3 April

Following yesterday's announcement from the RFL that rugby league is being suspended, the committee has confirmed that all training is suspended until further notice. This includes training outdoors at Chevinedge, within the wrestling pit and at external facilities, such as Park Lane and Trinity Academy. We are organising a deep clean of the wrestling pit during this lock down period.

The National Conference League is suspended as is the Yorkshire Junior League and the start of the Yorkshire Men's League will not begin as planned at the end of the month. The Barla National Cup semi-final against Beverley, due on 28 March is also postponed until further notice.

The club committee will keep monitoring advice as it comes out of RL headquarters and will provide any updates as and when necessary.

At the moment, the club is due to be open on both Saturday and Sunday at 1.00pm. The committee is conscious that social gatherings are being discouraged. At the same time, there is no ban on clubs from opening. We ask that anyone who has a high temperature, a cough or a fever stays away from the club entirely. Once again, we will monitor this situation on an ongoing basis.

In the meantime we ask that all our players, players, members and supporters stay safe and well.
