A solid game and worthy win for the Silsden boys

Sunday 24th April,
Silsden AFC U17 Feyenoord played a solid game of football when they met much improved Beckwithshaw Saints U17 Bulls in a HOME league game, playing a competitive game with fast pace throughout. Jamie Cunningham prove to be an exceptional referee, making solid decisions and giving guidance to both teams throughout.

Silsden met Beckwithshaw last season in the U16's County Cup, taking a convincing 6-3 home win for Silsden. They'll play an AWAY league game against Beckwithshaw on Sun 14 April and also meet them in the Harrogate & District League (HDJFL) U17&U18 Styan Cup Quarter Final AWAY on Sun 7 April.

Luke Latham (photographed with team members) was awarded team managers MoM for an outstanding performance and 3 goal hat trick, with assists from Joel Phillip and also George Gledhill from a corner and 3-2 result at half time. The team put in a solid second half, Joel Phillip scored a 4th goal assisted by Oliver Nash giving a 4-2 result for the Silsden boys at full time. Olivier Tetteroo-Smith captained the team, Gabriel Warburton put in a good performance in goals and it was great to see James Walker back in action! A strong performance by all ... well done team!
