Dragons hit the high notes!
After a pragmatic Saturday afternoon pitch inspection the game was declared on and a large crowd gathered in anticipation of a great fixture!
The game kicked off at a great tempo and the Dragons immediately fell into rhythm with their top-level passing game.
Evan was positioned alongside Alfie L in midfield where they orchestrated the game like maestros and Alfie S took up the baton at the front with aplomb.
Archie N was pulling all the strings in the middle of defence. Archie P and Jack kept the left hand side humming with brilliant pass and movement and on the right Euan and Billy were providing perfectly timed accompaniment.
But despite the final score the Dragons didn’t have it all their own way - Alex had to pull out all the stops on various occasions and the (cross) bars got a rattle at both ends.
Ben managed the game well on the whistle and well-worked team goals from Evan (2), Alfie L (2) and an absolute screamer from Jack with only one, rather unlucky, goal conceded gave the Dragons a 5-1 victory against a previously unbeaten Guiseley side.
A very happy band of satisfied players, coaches and supporters made their way home to get warmed up hoping for a repeat performance next week!
Well done Dragons!
