Today's friendly against Sutton gave the Dragons the opportunity to continue their impressive form and take on a team a league above them .
Unfortunately Silsden couldn't get in the driving seat and the first half saw a well below par team performance and allow Sutton a 4-0 lead .
After a stern talking to by the coaches and a reminder about what they've learnt in training they were asked to show some spirit in the second half .
The Dragons responded and worked really hard to control possession and make it hard for Sutton . Silsden were denied a penalty which could of changed things but were eventually rewarded with a goal from a free kick sweetly struck by Evan ⚽ .
All in all I think another step forward in the squads progression , hopefully they will learn from this match that good team play and winning isn't always the way forward and today showed a more psychological hidden learning side in their development . Sutton's coach picked Jack for man of the match .
