With Silsoe still yet to win a toss all season, Lilley CC decided to have a bat. Silsoe bowled tight and tidy up front and restricted the opposition with 2 wickets in the opening 10 overs. But as the game progressed Lilley took the attack to Silsoe and all in all a target of 184 was set. Silsoe began their innings well and were without loss after 10 overs. Some good bowling from Lilley began to break into the silsoe batting order, and it was left to Brendon Kemp (80 not out) to both steady the ship and set about the run chase. Needing 12 to win from the final over a huge 6, a powerful 4 through mid wicket meant it was 2 to win from 2 balls. A single was taken from the penultimate ball leaving the sides level. And that is how it stayed. A draw between two teams that played the game in great cricketing spirit
