Despite the 5pm kick off the air was still very humid. The grass pitch was wet and several "muddy puddles" (Viking fathers will think of Peppa Pig) were spread around on the pitch. The game started a few minutes late as the Indian cricketeers were not satisfied having played only 4hrs.

The game started with the Vikings in much possession of the ball and several attacks were launched. Several good crosses from the wings were first timed over the bar. The British Club had no subs and also looked to lack several players from the previous 2-1 encounter against the Vikings. Ten minutes in still 0-0 but it was clear that the larger Viking squad would soon take over the game.

British Club had one of their few attacks spoiled by a sliding tackle by Hax, who then brought the ball forward and passed the ball to John, who was in full speed towards goal. John passed the ball to Stabel, who rounded the keeper and made it 1-0.

The Vikings continued to dominate the game and Stabel doubled his goal tally after a good 30 minutes played.

British Club still suffered from the lack of subs while the Vikings had a five man bench to choose from. Still, British Club managed to bring the ball forward on the right wing but the otherwise good cross was caught by Poulsen in goal before their striker could reach the ball.

A few minutes before half time Marck, who throughout the game the best use of his strong dribbling technique, passed the ball into the space in front of goal and Morten managed to toe tackle the ball in. Half time score 3-0.

Second half kicked off and another fresh army of Vikings fielded. Understandably, the British Club was out of air and there was just acres of space to play the ball around. It was like a sequel to the late 8th century invasion of the British Isles where we raged and pillaged the undefended monasteries.

The Vikings got a free kick around the half line and CJ saw Marck running into position. The razor sharp pass flew over the defense and Marck just had to control and bury but the otherwise technical beast took the ball down on the knee, or shin. Whatever it was it made the ball roll out to goal kick.

Marck he started a counter attack and found Stabel with a nice pass from the right side just out of reach for the British Club defense. Stabel won his hattrick with a hard shot from short range.

Marck was all over the place and next action was a powerful cross from the left side. Crone had made his run into the box and expertly connected the forehead to the ball. The ball flew in a straight line and ended up in the top right corner. Very handsome goal to 5-0.

The last ten minutes of the game was a full on Viking attack. Marck, having assisted his way to stardom, wanted to make up for his knee/shin failure and dribbled towards goal. Completely alone with the keeper, and with two Vikings free to receive the ball in the box, Marck slowly dribbled closer to the keeper. It was a certain goal. Marck kept dribbling. And then he dribbled some more... and finally dribbled the ball into the hands of the keeper, who by the way was already lying on the ground. As a result, Marck was subbed. In came John and he scored on a header from a corner.

The game ended 6-0 for the Vikings and respect to British Club for fighting throughout the uphill battle.

Also respect and congratulations to Caroline Wozniacki for winning her first Grand Slam.
