McLoughlin star show
Widnes 1-3 Skelmersdale United
Declan Mcloughlin was the star of the day for Skelmersdale United as they trounced Widnes 3-1 at the DCBL Stadium, he scored both first half goals the first after 17 minutes, the second just 7 minutes later that put Skem well in command at the break and despite a goal pulled back by Sean Miller on 55 minutes, it was left to Ste Milne to wrap up the points with United's 3rd with 12 minutes to go
It was United's 11th win on the road this season, and they are yet to draw a league game, the last time United went a season without a drawn game you will have to go back over 100 years to find the last time this occurred.
The 1920-21 season saw United play 18 games without a draw, surprisingly enough they also achieved the fate in the previous season, playing 26 games, winning 22 on their way to winning the Liverpool County Combination, can United maintain the record with two games to go before the end of the season ?
United face Bootle at the Burscough Community Stadium this coming Saturday in what will be their last home game of the season, they wrap the campaign up the following Saturday when they travel to deepest Staffordshire where they will face Leek Town.
