Sleights go within two of rivals

Ed Turner and Sam Leadley's men went within two points of second-placed Kirkbymoorside Reserves and took revenge after losing at Heslerton, last month.

They made four changes from the side that beat Rosedale 6-2, a week earlier, but it was regular midfielder James Fawcett who broke the deadlock.

Skipper and man of the match Charlie Smith netted his 17th goal in 23 games as Sleights doubled their advantage. The recalled Joe Hugill then made it three with his 14th strike in 18 outings. The icing came when defender Ben Wilson fired home his first goal of the season.
