Slough made a strong start pushing up the field until they were forced into touch on the 5m line. Ed Jensen secured a good win at the lineout and the ball was worked well along the line until it found Charlie Turner who took it over the whitewash to open the scoring. Rob King successfully kicked the extras (0 -7)
Slough continued their attack with Ben Ambrose trying but failing to cross the line before the ball was passed out to the wing where it again found Turner who crossed for his second try. Conversion missed. (0-12)
Slough maintained the pressure, Rhys Amos coming close and Billy Young having a good game before a big Slough shove from a scrum helped Aaron Bryant to crash over and lengthen the Greenie lead. Converted by King (0-19)
A blinding run from Ambrose took the Greenies back into the home team's half but the ball was lost in a tackle and Risborough pushed Slough back towards their own line. Slough began to lose discipline, giving away frequent penalties and eventually resulting in a yellow card for Craig Fullicks.
HT: Risborough 0 - 19 Slough
Risborough kicked off the 2nd half but with all of their players in front of the ball the game was brought back for a scrum. Slough kept up their attack on the Risborough line, frequent clearance kicks by Risborough being greatly affected by the wind.
Another yellow card (Ben Ambrose) put Slough on the back foot and a breakaway run for the home team looked like it might give them a chance to get into the game, however a superb tackle from Charlie Turner ended the threat. Undaunted Risborough carried on pressing forward and forced their way over the Slough line, only to be held up.
A final passage of foul play saw Ben Farrelly receive Slough’s 3rd yellow card.
FT: Risborough 0 - 19 Slough
