I would like to let everyone know that my time as an active player has come to an end.
It was long and tough decision to make and after 27 years of professional hockey I decided to retire from the game I love so much!
It is time for me to give 100% of my attention to coaching and development of young British talent, which I strongly believe this country has plenty of! These kids have chance to make it further than some might think, but only if people were willing to work together to support it!
I have been able to see the world thanks to hockey and meet some amazing people along the way! People that have been influential throughout my career and life, sometimes even without knowing it.
If we ever crossed paths as teammates, if you coached me to become more complete player if you looked after me to make sure my gear is ready for the next game/training and my steels are sharp to enable me to fly down the right wing, I thank you!
Slough Jets Ice Hockey thank you for giving me the opportunity and freedom to help all the players achieve their potential.Such a great bunch of people making my job much much easier.
My biggest Thank You goes to my wife Veronika! She’s been through it all with me from the very beginning...the lows, the highs, the ugly and the nice. You’ve played a major role in my hockey career while bringing up 2 great boys. I appreciate all the sacrifices and never ending support!
With me out of line ups we will not be seeking replacement import player/players. We will be focusing on British youth and giving them as many opportunities as we can.
Thank you all! It was a hell of a ride!
Yours truly #32
