strong runs and big hits being dished out like sweets @ Haloween

Another game another win for the red and blues.....

With weather conditions perfect for last Saturday's league fixture against Whitstable, The team were well and truly looking forward to a home fixture in front of a capacity crowd!!!!

The lads were pumped up after some inspirational speeches from the wise old heads Carl Ambrose and Steve Richards.

It did not take long for the colliery side to impose themselves on the opposition, with strong runs and big hits being dished out like sweets @ Haloween.

Try's were inevitable the way the team were performing - not only pleasing on the eye rugby but committed structured rugby as well.

The Travelling Whitstable team could not take the pressure and power of the hits being dished out and this showed with the injury count staking up.

I wish there was more to report but the game was eventually abandoned after what looked to be a serious neck injury to a Whitstable player (We later found out the player was ok and only suffered minor muscular injury - will be out 2-3weeks) 38mins in much to the dismay of both sets of teams and travelling and home supporters. Snowdown were particularly disappointed to miss out on what looked to be a certain bonus point win (one more try needed).

After the game beer was drunk - songs were sang - fun was had in true spirit of the game.

Man of the match - Gareth Bramwell

D**k of the day - Jordan Ambrose

Next week see a home cup game against top of the table Sittingbourne 13:00 KO.
