Soham Town Rangers can announce that 1st Team player/assistant manager Erkan Okay has left the club

and will be signing for another step four club as a player ahead of this weekend.

The experienced former England C international arrived at the Lane as Rob Mason’s assistant ahead of the 2017 season from AFC Sudbury, having previously played for Royston Town, Lowestoft Town and Histon after starting his career with Ipswich Town.
During his four and a half seasons with the Greens, Okay combined coaching with playing, making 67 appearances.

The club would like to thank Erkan for all his hard work during his time at the Lane and wish him well for the future.

Following on from this departure, Rob Mason has restructured his management team with Matt Clements, who joined the club over the summer as coach, stepping up to become the new assistant manager, alongside Lloyd Groves as player/coach.
