Soldiers League was very proud to have been part of the Army Rugby League Lawson Cup Finals Day held on Wednesday 25th July at the Army Rugby Stadium in Aldershot.

In attendance was outgoing Chairman Mick Scholes and President Jeremy Bethell.
Jeremy was one of the VIP party presented to the teams before the kick off.
Both the teams from the Royal Engineers and Royal Electrical & Mechanical Engineers were buoyed up by having reached the final and were determined to make it a hard fought match.

It proved to be a true spectacle of Rugby League, with both teams evenly matched and each giving no quarter.
REME were the eventual winners 32-30, resisting a strong comeback by the RE, from 32-20, with seven minutes left on the clock.
