Solihull Blossomfield Ladies 1s – 1, Burton Ladies 1s – 1
Saturday saw Solihull Blossomfield Ladies 1s back at home to welcome Burton to Lode Heath.
The game started at a fast pace, with Burton dominating play for the first 20 minutes, but a cool headed Bloss defence managed to keep them at bay, even with Burton getting a penalty corner right on the half time whistle.
The second half saw Bloss structuring themselves better, moving the ball around Burton with more purpose and getting some shots on target resulting in winning a penalty corner. Lucinda Dawson made the call to sweep the ball to slip the ball to Emily Perrin, who slotted it into the net giving Bloss the lead.
Both teams battled on, and Burton who were determined to come away with a point kept piling on the pressure and equalised in open play with 7 minutes to go. Although Bloss continued trying to fight, the score remained level at 1- 1. Not the 3 points Bloss wanted but at least another point on the board.
