Telford & Wrekin Ladies 1s – 2 Solihull Blossomfield Ladies 1s – 1
Solihull Blossomfield Ladies 1's travelled to Telford Ladies 1's for a tough clash in Midlands Division 1. Both teams were on the same points, so the result was key. Despite the sun coming out for push back, Bloss took a while to warm up in the first half. The hosts made an impact almost immediately and scored from open play. Telford dominated possession and passing and Bloss struggled to get hold of the ball.
The second half saw a reversal of possession and passing statistics. Bloss scored from open play early in the second half, but this was subsequently disallowed. Bloss continued their pressure and Vicki Luckett scored from a clinical short corner routine to level the score. The visitors made life difficult for Telford with continued pressure, turning over the ball and dominating circle entries, but were unable to find the cutting edge to increase their score. Telford broke against the run of play and though an incisive pass and sharp deflection took the lead. Despite increased Bloss pressure they were unable to level and the score remained 2-1 to Telford. Amelia Thompson was voted Bloss player of the match.
