Flowers wins Manager of the Year

By Luke Turner

Moors boss wins award...

Solihull Moors manager Tim Flowers was awarded with the Manager of the Year prize at the Birmingham Sports Awards 2018 on Wednesday evening.

The Club were nominated for three awards on the night, held at Edgbaston, and Flowers came out on top in his category.

The 51-year-old arrived at the Automated Technology Group Stadium in November 2017 and, alongside former manager Mark Yates, masterminded an unthinkable survival from relegation.

Fast forward to today and Flowers, now in the hot-seat at the Club, has lifted the team into fifth position in the National League - just five points off top spot after 15 games.

In the other two categories the Moors were finalists in, Birchfield Harriers won Club of the Year, while Warwickshire CCC were the number one Team of the Year.

Everyone at the Club would like to congratulate Tim on his achievement and his fellow winners on the night.
