Opening day defeat for Moors...
Solihull Moors Women fell to a 3-1 defeat on the opening day of the FA Women's National League Divison One Midlands as hosts Long Eaton took all three points.
Summer signing Kathryn Pagan opened the scoring for David Healey's side, but three second half goals meant that the visitors went home empty-handed despite encouraging signs.
The Moors had plenty of chances to add to their one-goal lead but were made to pay for missed chances.
Reflecting after the game, goalscorer Pagan said: "We played some amazing football that I didn't think we could possibly play so early on.
"A lot of us are quite new to the club and we've managed to gel really quickly. We had spells in the second half but we need to make sure that it carries on for the whole of the game and not just in little spells."
