The Southam team lacking energy failed to take advantage of the strong first half wind. An error strewn half and a team off the pace saw Southam 15 points down at half time.
Southam started well and got down to to Evesham 5m, before multiple errors let Evesham all way back up into the Southam 22 and forced a simple penalty for offside. From an Evesham scrum on there own 22 an initial mistake let the fly half straight through and into the Southam half, he laid off for the centre to carry on to score a converted try under the posts. Evesham got another when the winger got open on the half way and went all the way for a try in the corner.
HT 15 - 0
Southam started with a good spell of possession, but after 20 passes only managed 10m, before infringing on the ground and Evesham went a further three points ahead. From the restart Southam got some movement and drove in the forwards from the half way, after successive moves they got held up over line and from the 5m scrum, No8 Will Grindal picked up, fed scrum half Tom Boag and he went through the gap for the try. Southam scored again when centre Tom Grimes broke out on the Southam 10m and kicked into the Evesham 22, after successive penalties, Southam took a 5m lineout and from , catch and drive, prop Will Bostock got over for the try, converted by Grindal. An unnecessary penalty on the Southam 22, for playing the scrum half at the ruck, then put Evesham more than a score ahead. The game finished on a sour note, when on the Southam 22, the Evesham fly half passed the ball, it hit the ref bounced to floor, the fly half recovered and skipped through for the converted try, whilst the Southam players waited for the referee to blow up for the obvious scrum.
FT 28 - 12
Not a good day for Southam, who were distinctly off the pace in the first half and failed to use the wind advantage. Overall it was game that they could have won, but too many errors and a lack of crispness across the team, saw them on the back foot for much of the game.

Captains Day from 12.30pm - All ex Captains and Players are most welcome to meet at Southam to share a drink or two and
remember the good old days. Whether it was a 50m try, two against the head, a try saving tackle or giving that nasty bugger from Kersley a good shoeing.
