Southam 21- 59 Old Laurentians

This was a much more upbeat performance by a reorganised Southam team, but they were beaten by a better team, who created space out wide and capitalised on it.

Southam were caught out by there own errors when trying force the game which lead to 3 of the 4 first half OL's tries. The first from a tight interception, the second from a lineout overthrow and the third from a spilt pass. On all of these OL's were the quicker to take the advantage and it put Southam on the on the back foot. Captain Will Grindal responded with 2 penalties.
HT 6 - 26

Southam kept up the pressure in the second half, with some great covering tackles from 2nd row Olly Tyrell, prop Will Bostock and flanker Wes Hallam, but the well drilled OL's speed of recycling and passing created space and Southam fell to another 5 OL's tries, but the defiance was there with a 2 hard fought tries in response from No8 Dylan Pinker and fly half Tom Grimes.
FT 21 - 59

Another tough day for Southam against a team which has been climbing up the table all season and now lies in 2nd place. Southam held them in the forwards, but OL's were better drilled and created too much space.
