Another tough day for the Southam lads, who did all the hard work defending a stiff wind in the 1st half, but failed to capitalise on that hard work in the 2nd half.

Southam shipped two early tries in first 10 minutes, one from a recycled catch & drive and another as the Leamington
winger weaved from the Leamington 10m through 6 tackles all the way for the try. Southam settled then the ship and
moved into their best period, the forwards drove upt o the Leam 22 and got the ruck penalty for in at the side, converted by
scrum half Will Grindal. Full back Charlie Munro, took three high balls going forward to negate the Leamington kicking game
and Southam got into the Leam 22, from a Leamington 70m penalty line kick that was then seemingly reversed for mouth.
From the lineout, Southam drove and then recycled in field until centre Tom Grimes drove over for the try, converted by Grindal.
28 minutes in Leamington converted an offside at the ruck penalty and as the half closed kicked a penalty deep into Southam 22 for a lineout, from the catch & drive, they recycled across the pitch and got over for the try.
HT 10 - 20

Southam started well with a Grindal break up to the Leamington 22, the forwards drove on and from a certain scoring position,
they were only awarded a penalty for tackling without the ball, converted by Grindal. From then on Southam were continually
under pressure of their own making, with ill discipline and losing scrum ball, giving Leamington easy yards into the Southam 22.
After 10 minutes Leamington used a lineout from a penalty on the Southam 22 to catch & drive & then feed the winger for the try. 7 minutes later Southam stole the ball back on the 5m, but then tried to run it out from behind the try line and were caught out and Leamington snatched the try, 33 minutes in Leamington again got into Southam 22, won a Southam scrum drove in the
forwards and then created space for the centre to loop in for a 5m try. As the game closed more mistakes let Leamington into
the Southam 22 and from a penalty lineout Leamington drove around the corner until they got over for the converted try.
Ft 13 - 42

The Southam boys know they could have got a lot more out of this game and will hopefully build on the good points and sort out the ill discipline and the tight for next weeks game.
