Masters set to grow in 2015

At the Rugby League Community Award Ceremony which took place at Old Trafford prior to the First Utility Super League Grand Final, Paul Field received his award for “Services to Rugby League.”

The citation read, “In the face of funding cuts and a loss of resource Paul has magnificently led the Masters RL movement that has re-engaged many former players and creates a unique and fun atmosphere that is to be admired.”

Paul who was accompanied, as always, by his wife, Anne, was delighted with the Award.

“I have enjoyed every minute of my involvement as player, administrator and referee at Masters.

“It is a testament to all who are involved in Masters that Masters has now been recognised in such a way by the RFL. Masters will go on the greater things in 2015.”

The Spitfires are still looking to bolster its Masters Squad (over 35s) for the summer 2015 season. Contact Adie Smith at the club for more details.
