London started the better of the two teams completing there first set, but rugged defence meant the ball was turned over on the halfway line and on Spitfires 2nd play Loose Forward Mick O Shea broke free to score under the posts.

London soon strike back as a clean break is met by full back Pascall Garrard who despite his best efforts cannot hold up the player in goal and London score.

Both teams continue to attack and defend but its London who eventually break through with some excellent footwork to score under the posts.

The Spitfires soon level things up with a spot of possession close to London's try line allowing Macca McNeish to cross over for a try.

The London side are next on the score sheet as there half back takes a quick penalty tap and catches the Spitfires defence napping to score under the posts. The Spitfires respond quickly with a try of their own after prop forward Pete Foxs skillful offload finds supporting hooker Warren Corbett to score.

London then go onto to score again but Macca McNeish finds space to cross for his second giving both sides a healthy total of 4 try's a piece in the first half.

Spitfires start the second half in fine form and score three try's in the first period. Flying winger Nick Cazeaux crosses out wide. Next up was the Spitfires other winger Kevin Duckham who also crossed out wide after some clever short ball passing out wide. Last in the period to score was half back Glenn Tyreman who sold a dummy to the opposition defenders to break through and step inside the cover defence to score.

The last period saw defences on top with London scoring the final try of the game from close range after a series of penalties.
