Southend & Benfleet HC Juniors played in an Essex Mini League U10s/U12s tournament. The club played against teams from Brentwood, Upminster and Old Southendians. The U10s boys’ team won against Brentwood and Old Southendians and were narrowly beaten 2-1 against Upminster. The club fielded two U10s girls’ teams with players of the tournament Cydney Thorn (who scored eight times) and Sofia Dabbs. The U12s boys and U12s girls were unbeaten. Head Coach Adele Cole “A fantastic start to the season. We’ve had a record number of youngsters playing their first matches, I can’t wait to see them progress”.
