It’s Good to be Home

First league game of the season brought us back home to the walker ground to host Beaconsfield 3’s on a horrible wet day.
The game started very sluggish with a lot of dropped balls, the weather was really taking it's till on both sides.
The first try came from Beaconsfield mid way through the first half and they not long after followed it up with a second running it from their own 22 to make it 0-14. Southgate needed to wake up and quick before the game got away from them, luckily Southgate got the next try from Adam Seagroatt to bring a bit of life into the game 7-14 at half time.

The team talk must of been a big one because the second half saw Southgate run the game going through the phases and taking their time.

Adam Seagroatt once again got on the score sheet to get second Try and 5 minutes later he kicked over a penalty to make the score 17 -14.
Now Southgate had the lead Beaconsfield picked up their game a couple of mistakes from Southgate gave them a opportunity but Southgates defence was so good they couldn't get through. The final try and the winner came from Adam S again his second hat trick in 2 games to make the final score 24-14.

Scorer - Adam (3T,3C&1P)

Next week Southgate will be away to Hemel Hempstead.
