SACC is a successful cricket club in North London. The club was established in 1870 and plays at the lovely Walker Cricket Ground in Southgate. 2020 should be a huge celebration of our 150th year in the heart of the community in N14

We run three adult teams on Saturdays and one on a Sunday. There is a thriving junior section with around 80 boys and girls in our teams from aged 5 to 18. We run the ECB “Get into Cricket” programmes, Allstars and Dynamos for our younger children. Southgate Adelaide Cricket Club is an ECB Clubmark accredited club.

SACC and Covid-19

Whilst the suspension of all cricket activity is obviously the right thing given the current situation, it has created a significant financial challenge for our cricket club.

Cricket is a seasonal sport; we rely on funds collected during the season to get us through the next 12 months. As things stand, we don’t know when this season will start if at all. And so at present we find ourselves spending money on maintaining our ground and facilities but not taking any income from match fees or social events. We are forecasting a shortfall in income of around £19,000 for the season. We still have rent to pay and our contribution towards excellent facilities that belong to the Walker Cricket Ground Trust.

We appreciate that this is a challenging time in so many ways for everyone, but hope you will consider making a financial contribution towards ensuring the future of Southgate Adelaide Cricket Club.
