Finally we get up and running this weekend with the return of senior league cricket

This Saturday (18/7) sees SMCC get back to playing senior league cricket. We play a double header with local rival Ledsham. The first team away while the second team play host to Ledsham's 2nds.

Can I remind everyone that no food or refreshments will be available at the ground. If you want a cricket tea you will have to bring your own, and dispose of any litter responsibly.

A modified season sees both senior teams playing a 10 week season. Matches will be 40 overs with 11 players per side.

The originally planned league is postponed so the teams we are due to play are different to what we originally annouced. The Y&DSCL have tried to keep the matches local to reduce the travelling involved.

The club recomends that before playing all players make themselves aware of the latest ECB guidelines on what to do and how play has been modified to allow cricket to be played during the COVID-19 crises.

A copy of these guidelines can be found attached to this article.

Can I also remind you that if you are playing or visiting the Swan Croft to complete an online google form. Your information will be stored by the Club Welfare Officer, Harriet Barr, for 21 days before it will be permanently erased. This information will also be accessible by the Club Secretary, John Richardson and Head of Junior Cricket, Jonathan Barr. To complete the form please go to -

Thank you for you cooperation.
