The clubs response to the Coronavirus Pandemic

Players, Members, Parents, Supporters and Sponsors,

Following the ECB's announcement regarding the suspension of all recreational cricket activity, which extends to training, pre-season friendlies and any associated cricket activity. South Milford Cricket Club has made the decision to:

· Cancel all remaining pre-season practice

· Delay the start to the Junior Coaching sessions

· Postpone the Annual Chinese Meal

· Postpone all Working parties

As we near the seasons commencement we have received some outlaying proposals of what may happen from the leagues for the season ahead, see links below:

Yorkshire Premier League North - Corona Virus Update (19/3)

Leeds & Wetherby Cricket League - Facebook

As soon as we receive any confirmation we will inform you of this immediately.

Some work will still be required on preparing the ground for any eventual start to the season. In this case members will be contacted directly to undertake tasks personally or in very small groups.

As you may be aware, we are planning on resurrecting the BBQ this year, planning will continue with this where it is possible to do so without any non-refundable outlays.

It is important that everybody knows that our absolute priority is the health and welfare of everybody associated with South Milford Cricket Club and surrounding community. Where possible please support our local sponsors in the Cumin Lounge, fully open and China Palace, who remain open for takeaway meals.

Apologies and Thank You for your understanding,

SMCC Senior Committee
