The U13s kept up their 100% record with a well-earned win away at Woolton Hill. A close first half saw plenty of chances for both sides with Theo opening the scoring after 10 mins. Woolton Hill equalised and it took some strong running and pace from the midfield for Zak and Rhys to both get their first goals of the season. The ref's watch seemed to have stopped as the first half extended allowing Theo to score again and South Newton to go into the break 4-1 up.
Second half saw a goal fest as both sides attacked well. Rhys cleanly slotted away 2 penalties to complete his hat-trick. Thomas, Tarrin and Elliot also scored before Theo completed his hat-trick. Woolton Hill scored some good goals of their own leading to a final score of 10 - 4 to South Newton. Kai and Zak continued to share the goal keeping duties with Zak's time in goal and outfield earning him today's Player of the Match.
A tricky home match awaits next week against Clarendon Reds.
