SOUTH NORMANTON SHOCKED BY BORROWASH VIC

Following last weekends biggest win of the season the Shiners followed it up with the biggest defeat with a poor performance against improving Vics.
South Normanton shocked by 2 goals early in the second half which they just couldn’t pull back, Team news is Gaz Webster made an appearance in the 80th miunte which was good to see after breaking his ankle just before the start of the season

The first half started with heavy tackles by Borrowash and on ten their skipper Ant Tansley was cautioned, Ant Fay was tackled on the left wing and from the resulting free kick, Danny Roberts headed just over, on 26 from a Steve Smith long ball to Luke Crosby who hit a screamer of a shot from 18 yard which hit the bar and bounced down but just in play, but the first half will be remembered for the hard physical entertaining game with a result to match, nil nil at the break,The Second half started well for the home side with two goals in 2 minutes for Borrowash, James Slack and Lee Fell on 46 and 48 respectively, then Normanton's Daniel Riley hit the net 3 minutes later on 51 with a classic strike firm 8 yard to calm things down, but on 69 James Slack gets his Brace of goals with a opportunist effort to take the game to 3-1 thanks to a deflected shot which cruely took the game away from Normanton, Lee Sutton made it 4-1 with deflected free kick on 80 to some Normanton's day up.South Normanton are at Home against a Barrow side this Saturday 3pm
