Southsea Nomads are delighted to announce their new club physio. Ross of RG Mobile Sports Massage will be helping keep Southsea Nomads RFC as fit and healthy as possible throughout the grueling season.
Most Nomads will know Ross already - Ross is a long standing Nomad and has played many times for us. Ross has played rugby since primary school age, playing in every age group for Salcombe RFC from under 8s to first XV, going on to join Nomads in 2010. Ross picked up the chairman's player award in his first season.
Ross decided to take up sports therapy after he stopped playing, he trained last year at the Wilbury School of Massage in Brighton and qualified earlier this year with an ITEC level 3 certificate and level 4 diploma in sports and remedial massage, and also completed a First Aid for Sport and a Clinical Kinesiology Taping course during my studies.
Ross currently offers a mobile therapy service, operating in PO1 to PO16. He offers deep tissue massage, remedial massage, trigger point therapy, sports massage and postural assessment. Most of his treatments will use a combination of all of these techniques with assisted stretches and post isometric relaxation techniques to improve muscle strength and flexibility. He also knows pre and post event massage techniques that should be useful for training and match days!
Please visit RG Mobile sports massage for further info.
Nomads can expect to see Ross at training on Tuesdays and Match days.
