South Shields Rugby Football Club Ltd is a traditional rugby club with a friendly atmosphere. Located at Brinkburn CIO on Harton Lane, South Shields, the club is only 2.3 miles from the South Shields town centre and its vibrant nightlife.

The club is just a short walk from Tyne Dock metro with Chichester Metro also close, only a 15 minute walk away.

At present, the club currently runs one senior side with the 1st XV playing in the River Blyth North and competing in the Durham County Cup. We are looking to push on and once again field our 2nd XV (Mariners) on a more regular basis in the 2022/23 season.

We as a club are at a rebuilding stage in which a new committee has been appointed, and a new set of goals and ethos has been created. Additionally, the club has access to a broad range of 'state of the art' fitness and training facilities through a number of different associations within the town and borough.

Training for the 2022/23 season will take place every Wednesday, 6pm (prompt) start at Brinkburn CIO, Harton Lane and caters for all levels and abilities.

The club is always looking for new talent and all are welcome regardless of age (must be old enough for senior rugby) or previous playing experience.
