London 3 (SE):
Bromley and Horsham remain tied at the top of the division, with the SE London club beating next door neighbours Park Hse 21-6, Horsham’s result was much more clear cut as they hammered H&W 5-56 in the Sussex derby. Bottom club Lewes’ woes continue, as they shipped 92 pints for only 7 in response in their defeat at the hands of third placed Dartfordians. A 22-15 win for fourth paced Dunstonians against Uckfield made it a poor day all round for the majority of the Sussex clubs, with newly promoted Pulborough also losing out 45-14 at the hands of Folkestone and Anchorians posting their first win of the campaign with a 37-7 result against H&B.
Beccehamians and Cranbrook remain the top two clubs, with leaders Beccs posting a 51-0 win over Sittingbourne and Cranbrook 12-29 winners at winless Bexley. Sheppey sit third after they were 24-20 winners in a tight contest against Southwark; with Vigo in fourth after they defeated HSBC 35-22. At the bottom, OGs are having a torrid time and another defeat, this time 32-3 at the hands of Kings Coll sees them and Bexley now 11 points adrift of Lordswood who also lost out heavily at home to O Wills, 19-50.
NAG maintained their 100% record as they despatched Edenbridge 7-32, Brockleians sit in second place after they were winners by a similar score line (10-38) against bottom club Orpington. Foots Cray’s 15-35 win at Greenwich keeps them level on points with ‘Brocks’ with a six point cushion to fourth placed Askean who were 7-44 winners at Dartford Valley. In the local derby, Faversham lost out 7-29 at home to near neighbour Whitstable.
PS: Glad to see the weekly roundup of results appears to have reappeared on Southwark’s radar again!!
