Ready Ladies!

Our next Surrey Rugby PU&P will take place at Camberley RFC on Sunday 19th March - yes, this Sunday - Camberley RFC, Watchetts Recreational Ground, Park Road, Camberley, Surrey GU15 2SR

This PU&P is for all girls in U8 up to U18 - school years 3 to 13 - Girls can arrive from 1.00pm and need to be warmed up and ready to start at 1.30pm

The Under 11’s category has proved to be a great success this season with all of the girls having a lot of fun - so if you have any girls at your club in Under 8’s to Under 11’s (in girls-only sections OR in mixed-mini’s) then do please invite them along.

The main coaching focus at this PU&P will be Rucking & Mauling - a very hot topic

So what can we all expect at this Pitch-Up-&-Play’s ?
There will be a group warm-up at the start during which there will be a coaches briefing
The girls will then be broken up into their age-groups and split between those with experience and those that are new / less confident
The girls will then get training in specific areas of the game - This session will focus on Rucking & Mauling

There will be matches at the end - these may be ‘conditioned’ to try and focus on the areas that have been taught

The details for each PU&P:
1) For each PU&P session you should arrange for ALL girls and coaches to be there for 1.00pm for a warm-up and then a 1.15 Coaches Briefing - the session will run from 1.30 until 3.30.
2) All girls from Under 8 (school year 3) up to Under 18 are very welcome, whether they are part of a club or not.
3) New girls or those with less experience or that are not very confident will receive separate coaching
4) The Host club will provide balls, Cones and a First-Aid coordinator
5) Each club that is coming along should please bring players, coaches, referees and first-aiders
6) Boots and Gum shields will be needed by ALL players
7) Food will be served at the end of each session prepared by the host club but with the cost covered by Surrey Rugby.
