Southwick fight a lost cause after the first 15 minutes

After a 2 and a half hour journey to the game in Gillingham, Southwick had a nightmare first 15 minutes.
Goal Anchorians - 3min 1:0
From a penalty corner awarded from a rash tackle by Southwick inside the 23 m section of the pitch.
Goal Anchorians - 12min 2:0
From a penalty corner awarded from another rash tackle by Southwick inside the 23 m section of the pitch.
With a mountain to climb Southwick pressed hard to get back in the game.
Goal Anchorians - 15min 3:0
The price was high when Southwick conceded again from a counter attack.

Southwick pressure forced a goal at last for Southwick.
Half time - 4:1

With Southwick pressing hard to get back into the game they were again hit on the counter attack.

Rob Lowe found the net with a precise flick at a Penalty Corner

Rob Lowe completed his hat trick with a shot that evaded a number of players in a crowded ‘D’ to find the corner.
Southwick forced Gillingham back into their own half for the majority of the second period and it looked as if the unlikely turn around might happen.
Disallowed Goal – Taff Mapawanda - 61min
Wickers forced a chance which Taff Mapawanda finished from a pass by Lowe.
The ball hit an Anchorians foot on the way to Mapawanda but the Umpire adjudged it to be a ‘Southwick’ foot and ruled out the goal.
This would have made the last 10 minutes very interesting
Southwick still had to rue the series if misses in front of goal which their pressure had forced but had not been converted.
