Rudy Misambo is the one injury concern for manager Matt Easton ahead of this weekend's eagerly-anticipated derby at home to Stamford AFC, the defender having picked up a hamstring injury during last Saturday's vital 2-1 win at Carlton Town.
Any concern over that news for home fans should be offset a tad with the knowledge that the Daniel's will be missing at least two of their starting squad, formidable striker (and forner Tulip) Gregg Smith & midfielder Olly Brown-Hill both having been given red cards during the Daniels' 2-1 win at home to basement club Gresley FC last Saturday.
Tulips' club skipper Leon Mettam and midfielder Cenk Acar, as well as a fully recovered George Zeuerner, are expected to be fit for selection so, all things considered, everything has fallen into place nicely ahead of what should be a rip-roaring contest, with the hosts desperate for at least a draw to improve their chances of Step 4 survival and the visiting Daniels increasingly eager to secure another three points as they strive to make the end-of-season Play-Off frame for potential promotion to Step 3.
One bit of transfer news to report: mainly restricted to appearances from the bench recently, midfielder Luke White has agreed to join Skegness Town on loan in an attempt to get more game-time experience. We wish Luke all the very best during what we hope will prove to be short-term spell by the seaside! It was also noted this past week that former Tulip Jonny Lockie has linked up with new Tigers' boss Danny Hussey at Holbeach United following a short stint with Deeping Rangers - best of luck to young Lockie too!
The action at the Sir Halley Stewart Playing Field this Saturday 23rd February kicks-off at 3.00pm with the Tulips Social Club open from midday - all connected with the club look forward to extending the warmest of welcomes to everyone headed to Spalding United v Stamford AFC this Saturday!
