Despite a tricky start to the season which saw the 1st XV lose the first five games of the season the boys have secured 3 wins from their last 5 games with two wins on successive weekends. This upturn in form sees us move up to 8th in the table on 18 points.

A strong performance away at Cheltenham Saracens saw the boys hold on to claim a 17-12 win despite spending the last 5 minutes camped on their try line. A strong performance from the forwards laid the platform for Ashely Lewis to secure all of the team's points.

The forwards produced another dominant performance against Cirencester on Remembrance weekend to secure the bonus point in a 30-20 win, with tries being secured from a driving lineout and Alfie Howe crashing over from close range to finish the game with two tries. It was nice to see both sets of players observing a minute silence before kicking off in memory of those lost during conflicts, we will remember them.

This weekend the boys have a break and we return on Saturday 26th November away at Coney Hill in a tough local derby. As always, training is on Wednesday at Oxstalls on the 4G pitch 7pm - 8pm.
