Comprehensive win over local rivals

The first game back after Christmas can always be a tricky affair, with the lingering Turkey and beer, not to mention the typically cold weather.

In fairness Saturday's conditions were relatively good and the Spartans players showed up really well in a fully committed performance against an Old Boys side who struggled to get any foothold in the game.

The Ants defended particularly well and whilst there was a bit of rustiness with their attack play, they still managed to score 6 tries to secure the bonus point win and remain 4 points ahead of Hucclecote in the league.

Highlights from the game included an outstaning individual performance from George Boughton, and a spectacular 30 minute cameo from David Ssenbulya, who in that short space of time managed managed to rack up in excess of 15 tackles!
