Many many years ago when Bury basketball competed as Bury Lobos and Wildcats way back in the nineties, there were a couple of fans who came to watch the games, who were also football fans.

When Bury AFC was making moves behind the scenes, last year, Mike Nichols from the spinners began conversations with John C, to learn more about what was happening and from there, more connections were realised and it made sense for the spinners to take the same legal route and establish themselves as a CBS.

It turns out you can be a football fan and a basketball fan!

What does this mean for sports in the town of Bury?

Having a football team on the rise and a basketball team on the rise only serves as inspiration for people of the town to get involved and enjoy high-level football and basketball again after so long of being without.

There are talks about collaborating in the future with many lessons to be learned from the past so both teams can thrive without the worries that affected the teams prior to covid.
