A beautiful clear morning over the Dragons Den, with temperatures perhaps a little too hot for comfort. Our second pre-season friendly brought another win after tiring conditions made it difficult today for the boys to maintain a high work rate.

As per last week we were caught cold, 1-0 behind with just seconds on the clock. Restarting the Dragons didn't panic and set about getting back on level terms. They didn't have to wait long with debutant Joshua SB cutting in from the left to strike hard into the net for the equaliser. Angus burst out of defence and squared a ball to the edge of the area where Roo met it first time to slot into the net for 2-1 in a very nice move between the pair of them. Half time 2-1.

Second half the Dragons pushed straight away penning Notley back deep with the ball out, Josh P withdrawn because of the heat making him feel unwell, Jenson on to replace him. The throw in that followed found it's way through to Jenson inside the area who had time to move the ball before firing in our third for 3-1. In a similar move from our left hand side Logan found space in the box to slam in his second goal in as many appearances for the Dragons with a cracking strike. At 4-1 up at the last drinks interval, we gave the opportunity to another debutant in Zack. Zack came on and got straight involved with some neat touches. Notley managed to break away and score past Josh SB to claw one back to 4-2. Then to end any hopes they had Ryan managed to benefit from a ball played forward by Zack to turn the last defender and hit the ball low and hard for our 5th and final goal, Pitbull grabbing a deserved goal.

A slog in the conditions but another win and we look forward to welcoming the Scorpions next week for our final friendly.
