Khalsa had the better of the first half but could not break down Darlaston in the first half which ended in goalless.
Two minutes after the re-start Kieron Miller goal put Darlaston ahead on 47 minutes. Four minutes Khalsa equalised through Toumani Sidebe. Khalsa in the 76th minute missed a penalty as Curvin Sanderson-Ellis was denied by Will O'Sullivan.
On 92 minutes keeper Sam Arnold was sent off which resulted in Sherdon Martinez coming off the bus bench to go into goal. Sidibe struck again on 100 minutes but Louis Baker bagged a 120th-minute equaliser to take the game to penalties.
The penalty shoot out saw Darlaston miss all four penalties which Sherdon Martinez saving three penalties and Khalsa scoring two via James McGrady and Dilano Reid to progress to the Second Qualifying Round to play Kettering Town on the 16th September.
