In an even first half Jahdahn Fridye-Harper did well to intercept Sporting Khalsa's top goal scorer Miracle Okafor on three minutes and Okafor went close a minute later heading over.
In a half which could have gone either way Jiah Medrano's corner was met by the head of Niall Prenderville only to be cleared off the line on eight minutes.Khalsa came again close Kieran Whittaker's free kick saved by Ganley on nineteen minutes a minute later Whittaker fired over.
Medrano's long throw was cleared off the line and Smith's header on the rebound hitting the crossbar.

The second half the difference between the two sides was the home side took there chances whilst Khalsa struggled to score. Shepshed took the lead after 68 minute with Reece Morris opening the scoring with a rifled shot in to the top right corner.Shepshed doubled their lead on 79 minutes from a pinpoint ball from the left hand side by Shaquille O'Neil Brooks which found John King whose perseverance after an initial save from Sam Arnold made it two.
The home side scored the third goal on 83 minutes when Hakeem to smash past Arnold.
