James McGrady broke the deadlock on 11 minute when he got in behind the Loughborough defence down the right hand side and found the corner of the net to make it 1-0. Khalsa dominated the first half. Dynamo best effort came in the 32nd minute from a long range free kick effort from Kevin Bastos but it just went over the top of the net. James McGrady nearly scored on the stroke of half time when his powerful shot was brilliantly saved by Dynamo goalkeeper Lewis King as he managed to push the ball onto the crossbar.

The second half was more evenly matched with both sides pushing for a goal . Dynamo's Kevin Bastos came the closest to getting the equaliser in injury time when his effort from outside the box hit the top of the crossbar.
