We are waiting to hear from the Football Association for guidance
After the announcement by the government about a 2nd lockdown, we are waiting to hear from the FA for guidance how this is going to play out. Boris has already stated that the Premier League will not be affect. We hear today that dispensation have been given to teams in the FA Cup. The best scenario is that they will allow training to continue, under controlled track and trace and Covid-19 preventative practices i.e. what we are doing at this moment in time. However, with the announcement of Leisure Centres having to close, this will put into question our training centre, Paddington Recreation Ground. Our Chairman, José Viana, has written to local MP's to explore this option as something that will be safe, similar to the controls that schools are using. We are a service that is outdoors and to stop what we are doing will affect our members physical and mental well-being, with less risk than other areas. On Wednesday, the MPs will vote and we will advise our members then. Until then, training at Paddington Recreation Ground is still on.
