Former Blackpool Youth Academy midfielder Max Rogers becomes our third signing of the day, joining the club after a successful trial where he scored the winning goal in Saturday’s 2-1 win over Golcar United.
A versatile midfielder, Rogers impressed at wing back in Saturday’s win, providing constant width, composure on the ball and a smartly taken goal in the last minute of the game.
Coming from the Blackpool academy, Rogers comes with a high reputation and will bring even more quality to the Gate side.
On joining the club, Rogers said: “I’m delighted to sign for Gate.
“It’s an excellent group of lads so I think we can do really well and get high up the table.
“I like to play out wide, get on the ball, create things and just play with freedom so I’m buzzing to get started!”
On the signing, Luke Evans said:”I’m over the moon to get Max over the line.
“He has only just joined the group and it was a huge gamble throwing him in on Saturday but he was excellent and capped his performance with a great goal.
“I have to thank his coach Paul who put Max our way. I knew of Max from his time at Blackpool and he is an exciting wide man who will thrill the Squires Gate fans and add an awful lot too our squad.”
Max will be available for Saturday’s league opener against Lower Breck.
