Top goalscorer Kieran Roland put on a 5 star show as we extracted some amount of revenge for last weeks semi final defeat.

The Academy put behind them the heartache of last weeks semi final defeat against the same opposition in emphatic fashion. Kieran Roland sparkled with 5 goals as we went on the rampage to increase our lead at the top of the table to five points.

We nearly took the lead as early as the fourth minute as Hussain Shah's shot was spilled, Kieran Roland's effort was pushed round the post and straight from the resulting corner Kallum Titchmarsh hit the bar. The Academy were awarded the first of two penalties after a defender punched the ball away from Kieran Roland but no further action was taken and Hussain Shah's penalty hit the left hand post, Eden cleared but we regained possession with a driving run by Michael Anastasiou and his cross bounced off of Bailey Kontor into the path of Kieran Roland who dragged the ball from right to left foot and drilled home.
Hussain Shah hit the post again and as the ball bounced clear Michael Anastasiou was felled just outside the box and birthday boy Kallum Titchmarsh dispatched the free kick from 20 yards out.
It was 3 nil after half an hour as Michael Anastasiou was again involved in the build up, this time setting up Qasim Zaidi who coolly clipped the ball home. Kieran Roland had missed a number of chances but in the 37th minute he showed great strength in the box from a Hussain Shah's pass to make it four before half time.

There was no let up at the start of the second half and a minute after we hit the post again through Kieran Roland he completed his hat trick after being set free again by Michael Anastasiou who was pulling all the strings in midfield.
Goal no. 6 produced a great moment after Hussain Shah was brought down in the box, right back Kia Worrow-Ford step up to tuck away his first ever Academy goal and he celebrated with a more than spectacular double back somersault. A richly deserved moment for one of the Academy's unsung hero's.

Three goals in the last 7 minutes completed the rout, first Kieran Roland notched his fourth of the game again the assist goes to Michael Anastasiou and his fifth came after an amazing run from inside his own half and he then showed great composure to round the keeper and slot home. Skipper Reuben Campbell completed the scoring as he try to out do Kieran with a similar run which the keeper Initially saved but Reuben snapped up the rebound and tapped the ball into an empty net.
