The 1st XV host Barnet Elizabethans in an all Herts clash in the first fixture between the two sides since January 2020. The recent form guide is very even and following a difficult start to the season Barnet picked up their first win of the season away at Finsbury Park last weekend and will be looking to build on that result.

When the teams last met in the Herts County Cup, Saints took the victory having been beaten by Barnet in the league three weeks previously. That season the league was abandoned in March, a week before Saints were due to host Barnet in the league and following a number of formulas Saints were promoted as runners up behind Hendon with Barnet missing out on the promotion places by just four points.

This weekend is also important for both clubs as we come together to play for the Mark 'Troll' Trude Trophy. Mark, who sadly passed away in April 2019, was a former member of both clubs and a highly respected friend of those attending today. The Blue and Gold currently hold the trophy, but Barnet will be keen to get it back.

The 2nd XV are also at home and following last weekend's defeat at Welwyn, they will want to bounce back straight away as they take on early league leaders Weston. The Stevenage based club have picked up some impressive victories this season and will provide a strong test for this young side who have yet to be beaten at home this season. Last season the visitors were in the same league as our 3rd XV and won both games convincingly and they look set to continue their climb up the merit leagues as they aim for back to back promotions.

Prior to the games we have our second Vice Presidents Lunch of the season and we would like to thank our friends from Barnet who will be joining us for the meal. The kiosk will be open for supporters, serving tea, coffee, sausage rolls and chips.
