In this week's addition we catch up with Kyle Gamble, owner of KG Electrical Contractors to find out more about the work that they do and the challenges of the last year
When was the company founded?
KG was founded back in 2013 although I’ve been an electrician for over 15 years now. I started the company on the same day I qualified as an electrician and then made redundant.
What do you do?
KG is a St Albans based electrical contractors specialising in Domestic and Commercial works around Herts, Beds, Bucks and London. We still service those who helped me build the company and regularly take on new works through recommendations and referral. From the smallest of jobs through to large scale projects. The team and I have strong values in being transparent, reliable, ethical and innovative.
Number of employees?
4 engineers but soon to be 5, Myself and my Award Winning Operations Manager, Gabby.
What challenges have you experienced over the last year?
In all honesty, not many. We have been really fortunate to have worked through this pandemic and have kept the team safe and busy throughout. Since Brexit, we have had a few issues with delayed materials making it over from Europe but on the whole, it’s not really affected us. We try to foresee any issues before they arise and have a plan in place.
Why did you get involved with St Albans Rugby Club?
We wanted to get involved in sponsoring local clubs and events – having worked with Lee Woods and him knowing we wanted to do more local sponsoring, he suggested we sponsor the club! Since singing up to sponsor, they’ve been really great to work with! We can’t wait for the games to kick off so we can finally get together and have a drink
