Vees 2s vs St Albans RFC 3rds

Great Grassroots Rugby On A Grassroots Pitch at Vees today with the hosts winning 54-29.
Loads of tries, end to end stuff, with tackles flying in everywhere. St Albans RFC 3rds were loaned the Orb who shone at no.10. We had a player yellow carded and we were leant another player Gav Nicholls, who was great.
Barry Wainwright opened the scoring for us at the end of the first half with Stilly supplying the extras. When we attacked we looked good, Jude Evans getting one in the corner as he backed himself. I think Andrew Dixon got one before Paul Randall dummied and finished a great backs move. George Stephenson completed the scoring with a trademark run straight through everyone. Stilly converting.
Grassroots Rugby needs clubs like Vees to gain confidence from fixtures like these, where the outcome isn't as important as getting 30+ players on the same pitch regularly.
Everyone came off happy.
Another game with no violence.
