We welcome Cleethorpes Town in the last friendly before the league season starts next week.

This is the last of three fixtures against NPL East teams, as we have seen in the results against Worksop and Grantham, the East division promises a competitive division and Cleethorpes will be among them after missing out on promotion last season via the play-offs.

There is likely to be a couple of ex-Daniels players in the Cleethorpes team in the shape of Jordon Cooke and Rio Molyneaux.

Just before the kick off today we pay tribute to two life long supporters who have sadly passed away recently.

First is Iris Atkins who was a long time volunteer at the club who along with her husband performed many roles within the club. Something her family in Mick, Mark and Jamie have all inherited over the years.

Secondly is Brian Gibbons who supported not just the Daniels but all football teams in Stamford over the years including Stamford Rovers who shared Wothorpe Road in the past.
